I have found a new hobby to love!
What started out as an experiment to try new things, became an easy way to unwind. Mixing together colors, playing with tubes of paints, and trying new brushes has been so exciting and fulfilling.
I love to put my headphones on, shuffle my painting spotify playlist (which I'm continuously adding to), and create abstract pieces using watercolor and acrylic. Getting lost in a new painting is so therapeutic - even after the worst day, running a brush over paper is incredibly calming.
Most times when I sit down to paint, I'll create about four pieces. So they've begun to pile up. Which leads me to an announcement!
I've opened a shop for my paintings!
Originally, my paintings were going into a portfolio for safe keeping. But the amount of pieces has exceeded the pages I have in said portfolio. I never outright knew what I wanted to do with my pieces. I never had a true plan for them. I was creating to see what I could create. As I started to find a style that I was proud of sharing, somewhere in the back of my mind, I knew I wanted them to all see the light of day. And I wanted other people to enjoy them and feel something.
In order to share them with others, I opened up a shop. I would rather they find homes where they'll be loved than sit in between the pages of a portfolio. I've got a small handful of ones that I hold close to my heart that are going to be framed and stay with me, but the rest are up for grabs.
