Deception Pass: February

Updated: Feb 28, 2018

I took a trip down to Deception Pass during Golden Hour!

I was itching to find something to photograph. It had been nearly 4 years since I had been to Deception Pass - my last trip here was actually one of Michael and I's first dates. I convinced Michael to bring my old Nikon so I could show him the reigns. I learned quite a bit of camera handling on this old Nikon D50 in my teenage years. Although old and temperamental, it still has some information to give. I'll be sure to include some of Michael's images at the end since I think he came out with some good ones!

We parked on the northern side of the pass, and walked across both bridges. We ventured through the walkers' underpasses and braved the small walkways next to the roadside. By the time we made our way back to the car, our fingers were frozen and the sky was dark.

Michael's Photos (as promised):

If anyone is looking to learn more about photography, I would love to teach! Please feel free to reach out and connect with me. I had so much fun teaching Michael how to use my old Nikon, and I would love to get to know others that are also interested in photography!

Until next time,

Sarah
